The Loma Linda University Health Education Consortium Obstetrics & Gynecology Residency Program strives to recruit physicians committed to our mission of service. We also strive to recruit those underrepresented in the field of obstetrics and gynecology.

We encourage trainees to dedicate themselves to a career providing care for women throughout the region and surrounding communities. Addressing healthcare disparities in these communities is a key subject throughout residency training.

Why Choose Us

  • By serving at both an academic medical center and a county hospital, residents receive comprehensive training in caring for a diverse patient population. Our residents spend time at both Loma Linda University Medical Center and Riverside University Health System Medical Center.
  • We offer all subspecialty rotations at our main campus, including Gyn-oncology, Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery (FPMRS), Maternal Fetal Medicine, and Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility.
  • Our residents are involved in GYN subspecialty rotations from the first year of residency, encouraging early exposure to gynecologic surgery.
  • All residents have the option of participating in an established international health rotation, learning to provide care in a resource-limited setting.
  • We prioritize resident wellness with activities throughout the year. These include family groups, big sib / little sib mentoring, formal wellness didactics with our physician vitality team, social and community outreach activities, yearly Christmas party, annual resident retreat, and a year-end senior dinner.
